It’s good to get to know a little bit about each other before we get started, right?
When we have a chat you’ll notice that I don’t have a Yorkshire accent, that’s because I’m originally from Derby but I moved up here in 2015 to start my undergraduate degree in Psychology and well, basically never left… So York has become my home over the past 10 years!
My work experiences have all been people facing roles – I only lasted 4 months sat behind a desk before I wanted to get back to working directly with people “in the thick of it”.
Outside of work I love live music, concerts, rock and metal in particular, and festivals. They are a real happy place that provide total relaxation. I am a keen reader, and enjoy getting stuck into a good TV series. I am discovering new ways to enjoy self care and regulate which are water based – tapping into my senses! (Powerful stuff). Honorable mention to my forever growing Jellycat collection.
I am passionate about creating an accessible space for neurodivergent individuals within the counselling setting, through learning and attending courses, and using my personal experiences . I am on my own journey with being diagnosed autistic in 2024 and ADHD in 2025 and this is something I am exploring in the day to day.

I am comfortable working with a wide variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression and grief. I have a keen interest in working with OCD behaviours, those who have experienced trauma, and individuals who are neurodivergent whether diagnosed or not. If you’re not sure, feel free to get in contact and ask! If it is an area I feel I won’t be the best fit for you, I’m happy to suggest other counsellors who may be more appropriate for your needs.
I am committed to continuous professional development, I attend various courses to update my knowledge.
